A company called PartyCasino studied box office numbers from 1980 to 2017 to determine what leading actor is the most profitable within the movie's budget. Familiar faces like The Rock and Denzel Washington come to mind as the winner. However, it is indeed Emilio Estevez, the leading man from the 80s and 90s known for being the misunderstood bad boy of your dreams in films like The Breakfast Club and The Outsiders. For every $1 spent on Estevez' films, he generated $6.70 at the box office. Jean-Claude Van Damme came in second with $4.20 and Mel Gibson came in third with $3.50. Sadly, PartyCasino could not provide too much insight into the "actress" side of things because "women, unfortunately, are less likely to be the top-billed actor for a movie." However, Rose Byrne was the most profitable with $9.80, Regina Hall in second with $3.50 and Octavia Spencer with $2.90. These ladies are bosses, but we think they deserve a pay raise.
